If you don't think of them as birthstones, but as gemstones, you can get whatever colors or gemstone properties you want. The chain is delicate and feminine: I'd love the option to choose spring clasp or lobster clasp - this is spring clasp. The stone is small-ish, but well-crafted and a beautiful color! I bought it as a gift and the recipient loved it!
